Montreal's highest residential building now under construction!
09 May 2019The construction of Montreal’s tallest residential tower is finally underway, developer and builder Broccolini announced in the structure’s ground-breaking ceremony last week.
Victoria sur le Parc, which will stand 58 storeys tall, has been touted by Broccolini as a “true vertical village.” Aside from residential units, the tower will offer a commercial ground floor and 10 floors of office space, along with a park to be designed by landscape architect Claude Cormier.
“This new park will link the future building to the new National Bank headquarters, which will be located at the intersection of Saint-Jacques Street and Robert-Bourassa Boulevard,” the developer stated in its announcement.
To date, more than 300 residential spaces have been sold since sales began in October 2018. This volume represents approximately 75% of available units.
“The speed at which the available units sold shows once again just how much buyers trust Broccolini’s expertise,” COO Anthony Broccolini said.
“This enthusiasm gives us the opportunity to put the finishing touches on the redevelopment of this city block,” president of real estate development and acquisitions Roger Plamondon stated.
Victoria sur le Parc has been hailed as a welcome and powerful addition to the burgeoning Montreal housing market.
“The arrival of this distinctive building will truly consolidate and energize this key area of the Business District. The project will optimize land use in the Ville-Marie borough through densification and by creating a new park that will benefit the entire population,” according to Robert Beaudry, District Councillor for Saint-Jacques and head of economic and commercial development, housing, and design on the Executive Committee of the City of Montreal.
